You might have noticed a few changes around the site lately. In addition to new features being rolled out, the name of the site has changed. After listening to feedback from customers and how you are using the service, it was clear a new identity would help pull things together a bit better.

I’m pleased to announce that the new service is called Ignite Pages. All of your existing account information has been transitioned and everything will continue to work as usual.

In addition, this is just the beginning. New features are scheduled to be rolled out over the next few weeks. I’m excited to offer a lot of the new functionalities and look forward to sharing it with you. Nobody can overlook the incredible amount of exposure that Craigslist can bring to your listings. It’s one of the top 10 most popular sites on the internet, with an estimated 55 million unique visitors each month.

The site is a powerhouse when it comes to buying and selling merchandise, furniture, automobiles, and property. The problem is, though, that there are so many listings competing against each other.

For advertising of any kind, it’s vital that you make sure your ad appeals to your target audience. It’s nothing but a waste of your time and money if there isn’t any real effort behind your work.

It’s too easy for your message to get lost in the mind of the consumer when your product looks just like your competitor’s. Here are four things you can do today to set yourself apart and increase your bottom line.

1. Take good pictures – Spend a little bit of time to determine the right angle and proper lighting. Image quality plays a huge factor in the success of your listings. Better pictures will yield more interest from potential customers.
2. Check your spelling – There are quite a few spelling and grammatical errors that even Microsoft Word won’t catch. It pays to have somebody proofread your work before it goes out for the world to see. Professionalism is important.
3. Turn off caps lock – Please don’t shout at your customers. There’s no need to use all uppercase letters. Same goes for the exclamation points. It doesn’t make your content stand out. In fact, it just makes things harder to read.
4. Remove your ad once sold – Nobody likes to have their time wasted, neither you or your customer. Do yourself a favor and take down the ad once the product is sold. You’ll prevent the flooding of your inbox and voicemail.

1. More templates – You already have quite a versatile mix of themes to choose from, but we want to give you even more. Expect to see more high-quality templates for your next ad. The goal is to offer a theme that matches the personality of your product and audience.
2. HTML downloads – Some people choose to upload their listing to their own website, instead of an external service like eBay or Craigslist. We want to make that as easy as possible for you to do. When you generate your ad, we’ll give you a single pre-built HTML file to upload to your web host. We’ll take care of all the hard stuff.
3. Helpful videos – We want to make AdLogger as easy as possible for you to use. Proper documentation is vital to that. Expect to see some video screencasts that walk you through every step so you know how to take full advantage of the service.
